Imagine A World…

This week I have had the opportunity to see many friends and family members virtually via zoom and google duo. Its been such a blessing to be able to connect with people that we sadly forget about in our day to day lives. I couldn’t help but wonder what if we didn’t have the technology like this, imagine if we didn’t have this blessing and we were stuck sending letters the old fashioned way or even worse we weren’t able to order our groceries for delivery or curbside pickup. There are so many blessings that we take for granted every day. In this storm of thought, I realized that the little things matter greatly, and we need to appreciate them.

I have started a list of people to send Christmas cards to, in the hopes of spreading some Christmas cheer and some positivity. It doesn’t cost much to run to the dollar store and pick up a pack of Christmas cards or some candy to throw in the envelope too. Let’s be thankful for what we do have and spread the blessings we have that others might not have. I saw a startling article on Facebook today that really saddened me. A surprising number of people will be losing their homes because of the unfortunate events that caused them to lose their jobs earlier this year. I encourage you to participate if you can, in the Christmas card mailing. An old tradition worth saving in these times. Spread your blessings and positivity it might be the only thing someone has this year.

If you don’t want to send out cards, think of another way you can spread the light. Maybe you go buy lunch for someone whether it be pay for the car behind you in the drive thru, buying a gift card to a restaurant and giving it to a homeless person, put together a toiletry kit from the dollar store and give it to someone living in the cold, buy them a blanket from Walmart, help a family that has lost or is about to lose their home with Christmas for their kids….Anything! There is already so much negativity and loss of hope, we need to turn it around! So in closing I ask that this holiday season, you give back in anyway you can. It’s not about the bragging rights or how good it makes you look. It’s about the humility and humbleness, the love and the hope that you spread to others.

Love and Hope,
